About The Emerald Group

We are a leading company in the industry, looking for a skilled Capital Actuarial Expert to join our team. Based in London, this is an exciting opportunity to work with our senior leadership teams and contribute to the development of our Economic Capital Model.

Job Summary

This is a broad role that requires significant exposure to senior leadership teams, including Chief Actuaries and Finance Directors. The successful candidate will have experience in capital modelling techniques and reporting, as well as knowledge of Aon Re-Metrica or Aon Tyche software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capital Assessment: Plan and deliver the annual capital assessment, developing and maintaining the Economic Capital Model for the Group and Insurance entity.
  • Model Maintenance: Assist in the modelling and risk calibrations update process, maintain model documentation, and prepare reports of modelled results.
  • Risk Calibration: Prepare analysis and associated investigations to risk calibration models, participate in workshop discussions with stakeholders.
  • Platform Implementation: Implement modelling changes to the Capital Modelling platform and ensure proper control, documentation, and output.
Requirements
  • Newly/ nearly qualified Actuary (e.g. IFoA).
  • General, Health or Life Insurance background.
  • Previous exposure to capital modelling techniques and reporting.
  • Aon Re-Metrica or Aon Tyche software knowledge is an advantage.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
