**Job Summary**
PIC is seeking a highly skilled Credit Research Analyst to join our Investment team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in optimising PIC's investment strategy and maximising risk-adjusted returns on capital.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of assigned portfolios of public sector entities, including sovereigns, local authorities, and universities, to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Credit Opinion Development: Take ownership of ensuring PIC has up-to-date credit opinions on all borrowers and key potential borrowers in your sector, providing timely and accurate analysis to inform investment decisions.
- Internal Rating Recommendations: Prepare internal rating recommendations that effectively communicate your views on creditworthiness, providing succinct summaries for committees and detailed analysis for stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with portfolio management, trading, and asset/liability colleagues to make and execute investment decisions, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
Requirements
- Technical Skills: Proven knowledge of public finance, financial reporting, and key rating metrics, as well as strong Bloomberg skills and proficiency in MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to persuade and influence, conceptualise and lead others in solving problems, and organise work to meet deadlines, with a recognised qualification and/or accreditation to a professional body in the relevant field.
