An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop your skills and expertise in the ENT outpatients department at Leighton Hospital. This department is passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients and their families.

Some ENT experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Main Responsibilities

As a band five registered nurse, you will be expected to have a solid foundation in nursing practice and be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of clinical skills, which will increase with experience and attainment of competence. You will be an effective communicator who can adapt to change and work collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills to respond to different communication needs of patients in various settings.
  • Ability to participate in meetings and discussions with senior staff to ensure effective decision-making.
  • Ability to present factual information and address questions from patients and colleagues.
  • Importance of quality of care and changes in practice to improve patient outcomes.
  • Ability to develop leadership skills and contribute to the development of the team.
  • Research and audit skills to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Ability to contribute to policy development and implementation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of caring for ENT patients, although full training will be provided.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Able to communicate effectively using various communication methods.
  • Full UK NMC Registration.
  • UK citizen or right to work in the UK.
