Ground Support Technician

Robertson Stewart Ltd is seeking a skilled Ground Support Technician to join their team at Edinburgh Airport EDI. As a Ground Support Technician, you will be responsible for conducting planned and preventative maintenance, as well as servicing and repairing a variety of ground service equipment. You will work on HGVs, LGVs, and other similar vehicles, as well as ground service equipment, providing real variety in an exciting environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year post-apprenticeship experience and be qualified with City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent automotive qualifications. You will have knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems. Ex-Military candidates, particularly those from the REME or Royal Engineers, are highly desirable.

Full training on the service and maintenance of ground support equipment is available, and you will work a 4 on 4 off day shift, offering a great work-life balance. Ongoing development is available to carve out your career further, with scope and genuine progression to Senior and Senior Lead Technician and beyond.

This role offers a competitive starting basic pay rate and can provide overtime to increase your earnings, with regular reviews based on your performance.
