Nursery People is seeking a dedicated Nursery Care Professional to join their team in a purpose-built nursery. Located in a beautiful setting, the nursery is easily accessible by bus and train, with free parking available on site. The surrounding area offers a local supermarket and coffee house, as well as nearby parkland for a relaxing lunch break.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of children, while supporting the team in delivering high-quality childcare. This is a full-time role, requiring a 40-hour workweek.

In addition to a competitive salary package, including pension and occupational sick pay, the successful candidate will receive a range of benefits, including staff discounts on childcare places, a bonus, high street discounts, and excellent training and career development opportunities. The nursery also offers a car park for staff use.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Working in partnership with parents and carers to provide for children's individual needs, observing, planning, and evaluating development activities, and maintaining regular contact and communication with parents
  • Supporting the Room Leader to ensure that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded into the room, following and implementing the EYFS at all times
  • Responding to parent queries or requests in a polite and professional manner, seeking help or signposting parents to the correct person within the nursery as appropriate
  • Supporting with new staff induction into the room, to ensure consistency of care
Required qualifications and experience include:
  • Experience of working in a day nursery
  • Relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3
  • Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding, and paediatric first aid
  • Valid DBS check
