About the Role
Novus, a leading provider of prison education, seeks a skilled Health & Safety Tutor to join its education team at HMP Five Wells in Northamptonshire. This challenging role involves delivering high-quality level 1 Health & Safety courses to groups of up to 15 learners. As part of a dedicated team of professionals, you will work together to provide excellent educational experiences.

About this Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Tutor to deliver Health & Safety training to learners in our maximum security prison setting. You will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to meet learner needs. Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback are also key aspects of this role. With over 30 years' experience in prison education, Novus is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of learners and staff.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Health & Safety training to learners
* Develop and implement lesson plans to meet learner needs
* Assess learner progress and provide feedback

Requirements
* A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or B.Ed.)
* Experience of teaching Health & Safety courses (desirable)
* Commitment to ongoing professional development

About HMP Five Wells
HMP Five Wells is a maximum security prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The prison provides a range of educational and vocational programs designed to support the rehabilitation and resettlement of residents. Working in this environment requires a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and empathy.

What We Offer
* An annual salary of £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
* Pension scheme options including a Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS) or Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
* No weekend or evening working

* Full package of training to support working in a Prison environment

This role requires a DBS check via the Criminal Records Bureau. Some roles are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and would require an Enhanced DBS check.
