SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a supportive school in Exeter. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and working closely with the class teacher to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Assist in managing behaviour, promoting engagement, and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff, including SENCOs and outside specialists, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support as required.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
  • Experience working with students with SEN is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
