Job Title: Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Skegness. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a corporate tax portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management, and preparing and reviewing corporate tax computations and returns.

About the Role
  • Manage a corporate tax portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management.
  • Prepare and review corporate tax computations and returns.
  • Offer corporate tax advice.
  • Draft financial statements.
  • Review work completed by junior team members with constructive feedback.
  • Lead liaison with HMRC, including preparing letters for senior review and reviewing letters prepared by junior staff.
  • Build trusted client relationships, handle queries, and problem-solve.
  • Deal with compliance work, including payment advice letters.
  • Work closely across departments, such as audit, to obtain relevant information.
  • Monitor the commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met.
  • Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Delegate work to and manage junior staff, overseeing workflow and quality control.

Requirements
  • CTA or ATT qualified or QBE.
  • UK practice experience.
  • Previous experience nurturing client relationships within practice.
  • Significant corporate tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Supervisory level experience.
  • Good basic knowledge across accountancy services.
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow and that of others.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Commercial acumen and creative ideas for new processes and growth.
