Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Aerospace Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our workshop processes and providing exceptional engineering support services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed work instructions for repair and overhaul of gas turbine engines and structural Nacelles, ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within our Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP) system.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve complex problems and liaise with manufacturers as needed.
  • Support performance engineer with test performance analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Review and interpret Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and changes to approved Source Information.
  • Provide written and verbal advice to customers on product serviceability, repair summaries, warranty, and failure analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of unit build standards and engineering bill of materials.
  • Provide technical support and input to new processes and authorised repair schemes.
  • Maintain parts master data within the company ERP system.
  • Support logistics with part configuration management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the business.
  • Ensure non-conforming products and processes are addressed in line with company timelines.
Requirements
  • Recognised Aerospace Engineering qualification.
  • Experience in an aerospace repair organisation.
  • Awareness of regulations and regulatory requirements in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong planning, organisational, analytical, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide advice as a subject matter expert and technical report writing.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical instructions.
  • Working knowledge of gas turbine engine and/or accessory theory and performance analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing methods, shop equipment, and machining processes.
  • Working knowledge of MRO ERP systems and Microsoft Office software.
