Gap Healthcare is currently recruiting for a dynamic Registered Manager to lead our children's registered service in King Lynn. This exciting opportunity involves providing leadership and management to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people across all areas of their development.

Job Purpose
  • Leadership and Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the home holistically, using all resources to create a positive, inclusive environment where children and young people thrive.
  • Therapeutic Services: They will lead and manage two solo therapeutic services by creating an environment that fosters positive, safe, healing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people across all areas of their development.
  • Manage the home holistically, using all resources to create a positive, inclusive environment where children and young people thrive.
  • Lead and manage two solo therapeutic services by creating an environment that fosters positive, safe, healing relationships.
  • Build and lead a team of trauma-informed practitioners who meet the needs of young people experiencing multiple placement breakdowns.
  • Ensure staff deliver positive, sensitive care in line with values, legislation, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Statement of Purpose.
  • Manage a home that meets the physical, emotional, identity, cultural, religious, and educational needs of children in accordance with their care plans.
  • Work effectively with Ofsted and within regulations to deliver the highest standard of care.
  • Lead a team that encourages children and young people to develop a positive sense of self and individual identity.
  • Evaluate and manage risk to protect young people from harm, provide a safe environment, and teach risk competence.
  • Build support networks with professionals, including police, social workers, mental health workers, educationalists, commissioners, and LA decision-makers.
  • Deliver services within a children's rights framework, promoting their right to participate in decisions affecting their lives and the running of their home.
  • Provide management oversight and support during safeguarding incidents, responding with clear action plans.
  • Manage performance-related issues as required, in accordance with policy.
  • Take responsibility for own learning and development through participation in meetings, supervision, and training.
  • Promote and enforce Health and Safety policies, maintaining safe practices for self and others.
  • Work with other services to ensure staff have the right resources, skills, and knowledge to work effectively with young people.

  • The successful candidate will receive a salary of £42,119 - £45,250 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Maximum job rate is £48,978, performance related.
