An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional care home.

The successful candidate will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers, based in the Diss and Ipswich area.

This special care home provides care and support to residential, respite and dementia individuals.

To be considered for this position, you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

As a Senior Support Worker, your key duties include:

  • Recognising and facilitating the daily needs of residents
  • Conducting formal supervisions and appraisals
  • Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
  • Taking an active professional role in promoting services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
  • Participating in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
  • Being responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
  • Administering medication to residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience of working in a care setting, be a good team player, have good verbal and written communication skills, and a genuine desire to care for others.

The salary for this position is £26,208 per annum, which equates to £14.00 per hour. This exciting role is a permanent full-time position for 36 hours a week on nights.
