About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring that customers receive excellent service, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store that exceeds customer expectations
  • Provide excellent customer service, listening to customers and helping to resolve any issues
  • Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets
  • Coach and develop colleagues to improve their skills and performance
  • Lead by example, setting a high standard of behavior and performance for the team
  • Monitor and report on store performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive sales and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
