About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Wells & Co Managed. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Kitchen Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Manage Kitchen Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of chefs and kitchen assistants to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain Food Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Control Kitchen Costs: Manage kitchen expenses, including food, labor, and equipment costs, to ensure profitability.
  • Develop Menu Concepts: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop new menu concepts and ideas that align with our brand values and customer preferences.
  • Implement Food Safety Protocols: Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed, including HACCP, COSHH, and food handling procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven Culinary Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Culinary Education: A culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food safety protocols, including HACCP, COSHH, and food handling procedures.
  • Menu Development Skills: Ability to develop new menu concepts and ideas that align with our brand values and customer preferences.
