Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our team in Iver. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

• Create 2D and 3D technical drawings, models, and layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit based on engineering specifications and design requirements.
• Generate detailed drawings, plans, and schematics for products, parts, assemblies, or architectural structures incorporating dimensions, annotations, and symbols as necessary.
• FOLLOW drafting standards, conventions, and best practices to ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy in design documentation.
• Review and revise existing drawings, models, and documentation as directed by engineers or project managers incorporating design changes, corrections, or updates.
• Maintain version control and documentation of revisions ensuring that all changes are accurately recorded and communicated to stakeholders.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent.
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Problemsolving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to the field of design and engineering.
• Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
