Manual Machinist

Job Summary:

Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join a long-standing company based in Knowsley, Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating Manual Turning/Milling machines to produce high-quality components to customer specifications and in line with our Quality Assurance Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture parts to customer requirements using a wide range of materials (stainless, mild steel, plastic, brass etc.).
* Ensure all parts are manufactured to specified tolerances by using suitable measuring equipment at the frequency specified in the Company's Quality Management System (QMS).
* Select the appropriate tooling for set up and manufacture.
* Conduct first off inspection and in-work inspections as required to ensure all parts conform to requirements.
* Perform changeovers between jobs, ensuring the machines are cleaned down and 5S is conducted.
* Possess basic troubleshooting / fault finding skills to identify quality issues and provide remedial actions to overcome.

Requirements:
* Time served miller/turner with in-depth knowledge of engineering, particularly around the manufacture of shafts/keyways.
* Experience of CNC machines is preferred.
* 8 hour shift.
