About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to take on a leadership position within our musculoskeletal physiotherapy service at Edgware Community Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high-quality patient care, and contributing to the development of our clinical strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead the musculoskeletal physiotherapy service, overseeing the delivery of high-standard care to patients with musculoskeletal problems as outpatients attending outpatient and GP facilities.
  • To work closely with the service lead, collaborating on operational management, allocating tasks, and organizing staff workload to meet service priorities.
  • To manage the effective use of time with patients, prioritizing administrative duties and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • To contribute to the delegated budget management, monitoring expenditure, and identifying cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with the service lead.
  • To optimize clinical skills, resources, and organizational efficiency, responding to local and clinical service needs and priorities, including waiting list management for outpatient services.
  • To supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and students, promoting competency development and professional growth within the service.
  • To maintain accurate records, conduct audits, and participate in outcome measurement initiatives to ensure evidence-based practice and quality improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • BSc Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council
  • Evidence of continuous professional and personal development

Desirable:

  • Member of a specialist group
  • CSP membership
  • Experience in managing provision of physiotherapy for MSK
  • Pain Management experience and knowledge
