About GLG Vets:

Salary Information:

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £34,000 - £36,000 per year, taking into account the location and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Surgical Expertise:

As a registered veterinary nurse, you will perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals. You will conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.

Collaborative Approach:

You will work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Your strong communication skills will enable you to provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.

Patient Record Keeping:

You will maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress. This requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Compassionate and caring approach to animals.

Working Hours and Benefits:

This role will cover 43 hours a week over 4 days, alongside 1:3 Saturdays/Sundays or 1:6 full weekends. We offer annual leave plus Bank Holidays, CPD Allowance, VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees paid, and many more benefits.
