Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at GSF Car Parts Limited. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess team performance against targets and KPIs, providing feedback and addressing any performance issues.
- Inventory Control: Ensure accurate and timely stock management, including stock counts, inventory checks, and proper handling of products.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring all team members comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize warehouse operations.
- Resource Planning: Assist in planning and allocating resources effectively, including managing staff rotas, shift patterns, and workload distribution.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Quality Control: Ensure all orders are processed accurately and meet customer expectations in terms of quality and delivery times.
- Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the warehouse team and other departments, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across the business.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues, working closely with the Warehouse Manager and other stakeholders to find solutions.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, productivity, and any areas of concern, presenting findings to senior management.
- Proven experience in a similar warehouse team leader or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order processing, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Forklift licence and experience with manual handling equipment are advantageous.
