About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our small team working from our clients office in Huddersfield. This is initially a part-time role with a view to increasing hours as the customer base expands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support to clients via telephone, remote, and on-site visits
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, and network systems
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Collaborating with vendors and third-party providers to resolve technical issues
Requirements
  • Ability to deploy and provide support to Microsoft Office applications, including 365, Windows Server, and desktop operating systems
  • Networking Technologies - Understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network security
  • Experience in email systems, including POP, IMAP, Exchange, and 365
  • Experience in configuring and supporting networked and local printers
  • Experience in configuring anti-virus solutions and cyber security awareness
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • UK Driving licence and own vehicle
Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of VOIP telephony systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform
  • Experience with Domains, DNS, and SSL management
  • Virtualisation experience in VMWare, HyperV
  • Experience of supporting accounting packages, such as Pegasus Opera, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero
  • Experience of configuring and supporting Microsoft SQL Server
