Where You Fit In

As a Regulatory Affairs Advisor in the Shell Energy Europe team, you'll be part of a dynamic group that scans the political, legislative, and regulatory landscape to identify trends and issues that impact our business. You'll work closely with fellow commercial colleagues to build a case for pursuing opportunities or mitigating threats.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework for gas and biomethane in the Netherlands, including certificate regulations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to traders and originators, anticipating and influencing regulatory developments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Trading & Supply Products team, Products Compliance team, Renewable Energy Solutions, Government Relations, and Legal.
  • Build strong working relationships with national authorities and agencies responsible for the regulatory framework of gas and biomethane certificates.


Requirements


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw commercial implications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inform and influence multiple stakeholders.
  • University-educated, with a post-graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as law, economics, or business.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting regulations, with the ability to advise on commercial impact and regulatory feasibility.
  • A self-starter with the ability to initiate new opportunities and meet performance targets.
