Learning Mentor Opportunity in Crawley

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Mentor to join our team in a secondary school in Crawley. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional guidance to overcome learning barriers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to enhance students' confidence, self-esteem, and motivation
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, focusing on study skills and curriculum knowledge
  • Support students' social and emotional needs, promoting a positive and inclusive school environment
  • Monitor and track students' progress, attendance, and behavior, collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure effective support
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices and methodologies
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a teaching assistant, learning support assistant, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
  • Positive and proactive attitude, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Location: Crawley

Salary: £90-£95 Day Rate

Hours: 08:15-15:30

Availability: Full-Time/Mon-Fri
