Dorward James is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in Edinburgh.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide commercial legal advice to corporate and private clients on a range of commercial litigation matters in England and Scotland, delivering an excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage workload competently, professionally, efficiently, and cost-effectively with minimal supervision to achieve client and firm objectives.
  • Advise clients and provide risk/benefit analysis of settlement or progressing with the dispute.
  • Research and advise on various areas of dispute, including insolvency, construction, property, and company/commercial matters.
  • Be proactive in financial control of all your own and team matters, including accurate time recording and prompt feeing.
  • Contribute constructively to the work of other team members in the Litigation division and contribute to delivering technical training within the division.
  • Keep up to date with case law and legislative changes relevant to the law.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
