Paediatric Phlebotomy Specialist

This part-time position involves working 22.7 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Sunday (shifts covering 7am-6pm). The salary is pro rata for part-time hours.

The role is based within the Paediatric Haematology/Oncology unit at the Royal Hospital for Children, providing phlebotomy cover to paediatric patients. The successful candidate will work independently within a small team to provide a blood collection service, releasing junior doctors and nursing staff from blood collection duties.

The specialist paediatric phlebotomist must be skilled in a wide range of blood collection techniques, including sampling from venous cannulae, PICC devices, Central Venous Access Devices, and capillary blood collection from heel/thumb prick.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a visa, and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
