Senior Support Engineer - Technical Training Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Support Engineer to join our team as a Technical Training Specialist. As a key member of our operational engineering programme, you will be responsible for supporting trainees through their technical training programmes, ensuring delivery in conjunction with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively support engineering trainees through their operational engineering programmes, ensuring delivery in conjunction with business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documented skills, knowledge, and objectives for these programmes.
  • Plan and liaise with key stakeholders to identify and understand priorities, developing training and development plans.
  • Liaise with allocated business functions to ensure new skill requirements are mapped out to provide cost-effective training solutions.
  • Carry out regular technical reviews for all operational engineering trainees to ensure they are developing as planned.
  • Provide support in relation to all technical training needs analysis, development of training plans, training delivery, and evaluation and assessment reports.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of operational safety programmes to meet stringent requirements.
  • Promote and support a learning environment to ensure effective utilisation of training solutions.
  • Develop and maintain customer relations with other departments and service providers.
  • Support the EN Resourcing team in the preparation of budgetary requirements.

Requirements

  • Relevant HNC or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience as a Senior Authorised Person within a utility business.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and compliance.
  • Effective and confident written and verbal communicator.
  • Computer literacy - e.g. Microsoft Office suite.
