Nursery Educator Wanted

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursery Educator to join our team at West Dunbartonshire Council. As a key member of our early learning and childcare team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their learning and development through play-based activities, and maintaining accurate records of children's progress.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to:

  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of a relevant curriculum in line with national and local guidance.
  2. Maintain and record children's assessment progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
  3. Implement a range of activities designed to promote learning and development, including arts and crafts, music, and physical education.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a recognised qualification in Early Years Education, such as NNEB or HNC in Childhood Practice, and be registered with the PVG scheme. A proven track record of working with pre-five children in a relevant setting is essential, as is the ability to adapt to change and be flexible in your approach.

What We Offer

In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary of £27,500 - £32,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as access to the Local Government pension scheme, a minimum of 25 days annual leave increasing to 35 days as well as 8 fixed public holidays, and employee wellbeing supports including occupational health & counselling.
