Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Premix Production Department as a Maintenance Technician. This role will involve carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines, ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and understand the scope and safety issues related to allocated work.
- Sign off on maintenance records and initiate handovers of equipment to production teams.
- Manage and maintain all mechanical jobs and maintenance on our Ultimo system.
- Schedule work and order parts within budget to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation.
- Carry out defined work in accordance with DSM's SHEQ requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Record relevant job history and enter accurate time recording for the job.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
Requirements
- A time-served Mechanical tradesman with an ONC or equivalent qualification, and at least 5 years of experience in an automated environment.
- Proven technical competence in their own area of discipline, with fault-finding and manual skills.
- Good communication, flexible approach, self-starter, and team player skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with in-depth Ultimo experience.
