We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the HV, Energy and Renewable Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing schematic drawings and single line diagrams, as well as complying with specific project safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a third level degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as experience working in the power and renewables sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams
  2. Complying with specific project safety requirements
  3. Detailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems.
  4. Specification, selection, and procurement of the range of equipment
  5. Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
  6. Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
  7. Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
  8. Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
Requirements:
  1. Suitable Candidates must have a third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Experience working in the power and renewables sector.
  4. Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines together with a high attention to detail.
  5. Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
  6. Enjoy working as part of a high performing team.
