Job Summary:

Onyx-Conseil is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Manager to lead our software engineering team in delivering a software solution for one of our key clients. As a Senior Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the software team backlog, preparing backlog items for selection, and ensuring that the technical solution aligns with the overall product technical direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the software team backlog, ensuring that backlog items are prepared for selection and inclusion in team Sprint Backlogs.
  • Collaborate with the Software Engineering Team Lead to manage the software team and ensure that the technical solution aligns with the overall product technical direction.
  • Work with the Project Technical Authorities to ensure that the scope of work, estimated effort level, required completion dates, and acceptance criteria associated with each backlog task are fully understood.
  • Facilitate the flow of information between project and development teams, understanding and communicating project priorities and actively motivating the software teams.
  • Observe Sprint Planning and Retrospective meetings and ensure that any lessons learned are recorded.
  • Experience of working in all aspects of the software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with project technical leads and software teams members in order to provide reasoned detailed estimates with corresponding assessments of dependencies, assumptions, and risks.
  • Experience of the design and development of software in compliance with Software Safety and Security Standards.
  • Ability to conduct design, code, and unit test inspections, reviews, and walkthroughs.
  • Knowledge of development in C/C++ on Linux.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a software development team as a technical lead or software development manager.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience of working with software development tools and technologies, including version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
