Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant - SEMH

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH needs in a secondary educational setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to develop and implement effective learning strategies and materials, providing tailored assistance to students with SEMH needs. The role involves supporting students in their learning journey, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEMH needs in their learning activities, providing individualized assistance and guidance.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement learning strategies and materials that cater to the needs of students with SEMH.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons that promote student learning and engagement.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs in a secondary educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt to the varying needs of students and work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.
  • Relevant qualifications and training in education or language support.
