Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team at our Exeter store. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and providing exceptional customer service to drive sales and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience
    • Lead by example and provide exceptional customer service to drive sales and customer loyalty.
    • Support the management team in delivering product training to ensure that sales associates are knowledgeable about our products.
    • Encourage a positive and engaging atmosphere in the store to build relationships with customers and the community.
    • Use your best judgment in all customer service matters, making appropriate decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Commercial
    • Motivate and influence the team to achieve daily targets and KPIs.
    • Demonstrate and encourage others to maximize sales potential through effective use of our multi-channel offering.
    • Assist in analyzing sales data and contributing to weekly trade feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Run the store efficiently and manage the shop floor effectively in the absence of management team.
  • Operations
    • Responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring that all store assets and the site are secure.
    • Accurately follow cash management procedures and ensure that all cash handling is documented and signed for.
    • Assist with health and safety compliance tests and checklists to ensure that all policies are adhered to.
    • Ensure that correct procedures are followed for processing stock movements in and out of the store.
  • People
    • Be a positive and respectful role model, communicating positively about the store, management, and company strategies.
    • Assist management with store training, providing feedback and suggestions to support the development of the team.
    • Create a positive and open relationship with the management team and provide feedback on any needs or concerns from team members.
    • Build relationships and communicate with relevant stakeholders in the company.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a customer-focused environment.
  • A strong understanding of exceptional customer service.
  • Good experience in working towards targets and KPIs.
  • Good knowledge of retail operations and procedures.

  • Like to lead by example, motivating and supporting others.
  • A people person, building positive relationships with customers and the retail team.
