Sanctions Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanctions Lead to join our Financial Crime Risk team at NatWest Group. As a key member of our second line of defence (2LOD) Sanctions team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and promoting the development of sanctions risk management initiatives and activities across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and evolve our Sanctions framework, policy, and controls through various initiatives.
- Support, guide, and mentor managers in the team on policy and framework considerations, applying subject matter expert (SME) sanctions knowledge and ensuring a comprehensive risk assessment.
- Provide sanctions expertise to stakeholders across the Group, leading and supporting the development of the NatWest Sanctions Framework.
- Engage with external regulatory and industry stakeholders on sanctions initiatives within the wider industry.
Requirements:
- Experience with regulatory and industry body engagement.
- Organisational awareness, including working knowledge of risks, products, processes, and controls.
- Experience of managing a range of different sanctions tasks and stakeholders, including senior management.
