About the Role

As a key member of the HS2 Infrastructure Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the HS2 railway system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of track infrastructure maintenance and asset management, working closely with stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of track asset management strategies and plans, ensuring they are technically fit for purpose.
  • Manage and apply appropriate engineering maintenance regimes in accordance with company policies, standards, and specifications.
  • Determine and develop the technical and non-technical competencies needed to inspect, maintain, renew, and enhance HS2 Open Route and Station infrastructures.
  • Specify and lead the development of infrastructure maintenance technical standards, specifications, and work instructions.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in infrastructure maintenance or engineering, with experience in leading or working in teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, with an understanding of project management principles and application.
  • Ability to review proposals for the supply of track assets and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write or review technical engineering standards, specifications, and work instructions.
