As a key player in our dynamic workshop, you'll be instrumental in keeping some of the UK's largest brands on the road, entrusted with inspections, maintenance, repairs, and servicing of our clients' fleets.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and Fix Complex Issues: Utilize your expertise to diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic issues in our clients' fleets.
- Overhaul Electrical Components: Perform thorough overhauls of electrical components and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform Welding and Metalworking Tasks: Conduct welding and metalworking tasks, if authorized and qualified, to maintain our high standards.
- Utilize Advanced Machine Tools: Leverage advanced machine tools and equipment, if authorized, to deliver exceptional results.
- Conduct MOT Testing: Conduct Department of Transport (MOT) testing, when suitably qualified, to ensure our clients' vehicles meet the highest standards.
- Manage Parts and Inventory: Effectively manage parts ordering and stores inventory to maintain a well-stocked workshop.
- Mentor and Support Apprentices: Share your expertise and support Apprentice Technicians in their development.
- Maintain Precise Job Records: Ensure accurate and detailed job records are maintained to track progress and optimize workflow.
- Ensure Workshop Equipment: Uphold rigorous health, safety, and cleanliness standards to maintain our workshop equipment in top working condition.
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance: Possess a recognized qualification in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
- Strong Customer Service Mindset: Demonstrate a customer-centric approach to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to Work Efficiently: Work efficiently under deadlines to meet our high standards.
- Self-Motivated and Driven: Demonstrate a strong drive to excel and continuously improve.
- Comprehensive Repair and Servicing Techniques: Possess proficient skills in comprehensive repair and servicing techniques.
- Diagnostic Skills and Qualifications: Diagnostic skills and qualifications are a plus, but not required.
- Prior Fleet Management Experience: Prior fleet management experience is advantageous, but not necessary.
