Mentorship Support Specialist

Behaviour Mentor Role
We are seeking Behaviour Mentors to join Progress Teachers Ltd in Nottingham on a 10-week temp to perm basis. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide support to pupils aged 11-16 who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education due to challenging behaviours.
This is a long-term and permanent role with working hours of 09:00-16:00 Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:- Individual Support: Assist students displaying challenging behaviours on a 1-1 basis or in smaller groups of up to 6 students.
- Classroom Management Strategies: Help manage classroom behaviour and implement strategies for student engagement.
- Social and Emotional Development: Support students in developing social and emotional skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
- Experience: Work with children, especially those with SEN, ADHD, SEMH, Complex & Challenging Behaviours.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Educational Expertise: Ability to educate and engage students in learning activities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members and parents/guardians.
Estimated Salary: £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
