Job Title: Senior Lighting Project Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lighting Project Manager to join our team at Broadwick. As a Senior Lighting Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of lighting for a variety of events across Magazine London & Exhibition White City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of lighting on each project at the two venues.
  • Produce creative and functional lighting designs, as well as present these designs in renders and visual format for clients.
  • Work closely with event planners to develop timelines, budgets, and lighting plans that meet the client's needs and expectations.
  • Work closely with the project Production Managers to ensure the lighting ties in with the overall production in terms of practicality and impact.
  • Produce kit lists for all projects, maximising the use of internal stock and arranging sub-hires where required.
  • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are ordered, delivered, and set up in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedule and book on-site lighting teams, including operators, crew chiefs, and technicians.
  • Produce lighting plans and schematics using Vectorworks, for lighting teams on site.
  • Oversee the on-site production of events, ensuring that all activities are carried out smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure that all contracts are fulfilled and that all parties involved in the event are working together seamlessly.
  • Manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that all costs are kept within budget.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during events and work to find creative solutions that keep the event running smoothly.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service, ensuring that all clients are satisfied with the event production process.
  • Develop and retain client relationships to generate new opportunities.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to provide event-specific information to help develop content and strategies.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in event lighting production.
  • Strong creative and lighting design skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Vectorworks Spotlight.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Knowledge of event industry best practices and trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft/Google packages.

  • Good Knowledge of BS7909:2011 Code of practice for temporary electrical systems for entertainment and related purposes.
  • Good Knowledge of Standard Rigging Practices.
  • Understanding of the legal obligations towards health and safety and the roles of all duty holders under CDM2015.
