About the Role

Climax Studios is seeking a talented and experienced Game Developer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing key game systems, rapidly gaining in-depth knowledge of new technology and development practices, and effectively communicating these to other team members and disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop key game systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and development practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our game development processes.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to ensure seamless integration of game systems and features.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Work closely with the team to identify and prioritize areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize game performance and stability.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of commercial games programming experience.
  • Advanced C++ programming skills, with experience in Unreal Engine 4/5.
  • Strong understanding of game development principles, including game mechanics, physics, and mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
