Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Generalist to join our team in Lichfield. As a key member of our payroll department, you will work closely with the Payroll Manager and HR Manager to provide excellent support for our employees across various locations.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Supporting employees in accessing their electronic payslips, P60s, P45s, and P11Ds through the Dayforce platform.
  • Processing payroll input to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution.
  • Maintaining the Time and Attendance system, reviewing errors and overtime with managers.
  • Managing pension records for all current employees and legacy contracts.
  • Notifying benefits providers for new starters, leavers, and changes.
  • Monitoring and responding to emails through the UK Payroll inbox.
  • Collaborating with the wider HR team to maintain awareness of business changes.
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager with year-end tasks and audit requirements.
  • Providing accurate HR administration for employee lifecycle events, including starters, leavers, and changes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • GCSE Maths and English qualifications or equivalent.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles.
  • High computer literacy, especially in MS Excel and MS Word.
