We are currently seeking a skilled Support for Learning Assistant to join our team at a school in North Yorkshire.

About the Role:

This long-term opportunity involves working in a busy secondary school environment, supporting students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). The successful candidate will have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Assisting students with their learning, including providing one-to-one support where needed
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A passion for supporting the learning and development of secondary school pupils
  • Experience working with students with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
