Gas Network Engineer

BU-UK Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Lead Gas Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our mission of making lasting connections with our customers to improve their lives.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and operate gas assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Undertake audits, site inspections, and provide technical advice to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our gas network.
- Proactively identify and mitigate hazards and risks associated with gas assets and operations.
- Evaluate and assess complex engineering solutions to network challenges and develop effective strategies to address them.
- Oversee contractors, delivery partners, and direct staff undertaking work on assigned projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Support the ongoing maintenance of company accreditations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Respond to network emergencies and provide site presence, leadership, or assistance as required, and conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- EngTech membership with a Professional Engineering Institution within 6 months of commencement.
- Full UK driving license.
- Extensive experience in Gas Distribution engineering.
- Experience of undertaking complex asset-related surveys.
- Company car.
