Facilities Maintenance Technician

Atlas is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Liverpool John Moores University. As part of the site team, you will support the delivery and completion of a wide range of building activities from low-risk PPM tasks to proactive maintenance on various buildings across the estate.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure highest standards and Atlas competencies are delivered and demonstrated.
- Deliver and support with a wide range of activities across multiple disciplines.
- Ensure Client, Customer, and Team are 'kept in the loop' through feedback and regular updates.
- Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
- Provide technical support, advice, and guidance to the Customer and Team.
- Ensure best value for money to the Client by ensuring accuracy within the Team by checking resource and materials are suitable to effectively deliver the service.
- Report on performance to your supervisor.
- Ensure safe delivery of all Atlas works, including those of our service partners.
- Produce details of time and materials required for any minor works for quoting purposes.
- Liaise with Account Support, Supervisors, Managers, and Sub-Contractors to deliver work to the highest standard within SLA, as required.
- Build and foster relationships with the Client, Customer, other Atlas colleagues.
- Ensure Maximo system is constantly updated via your issued tablet and that all time is accounted for on the generated timesheet.
- Take ownership of the sites delivering exceptional service to the customer.
- Cover all call-out responsibilities out of hours when rostered.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A qualified trade background (Carpentry, plastering, decorating or equivalent).
- Fully time served apprenticeship in given trades.
You should also have:
- 2 years' experience in a similar environment, particularly across multi-sites and multi-discipline service delivery.
- 1 year's experience in a customer-facing outsourcing environment.
- A background in facilities maintenance/property maintenance.
- A good understanding of modern office software and experience working with asset/work management systems such as MAXIMO/Cafm systems on Android tablets.
- Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities.
