Job Title: Commercial Solicitor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Solicitor to join our team at Frasers Group. As a Commercial Solicitor, you will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and advising on a wide range of supplier and business partnership contracts for all areas of the Group's businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dealing with commercial disputes and litigation
• Providing guidance on marketing and promotional activity, including CAP code compliance for advertisements, promotions, competitions, and product packaging
• Supporting the e-commerce team on legal aspects of digital marketing and website operations
• Wholesale contracts and concession agreements with suppliers
• General IP work, including licensing of own brands and third-party licensing
• Advising and supporting the customer service team on customer complaints and handling disputes and small claims
• Assisting on larger M&A work, coordinating smaller transactions, including conducting due diligence investigations, drafting SPA/APAs, and ancillary documents, and post-completion support
• Liaising with enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies, such as the ICO, ASA, and Trading Standards, in relation to regulatory issues and customer complaints
• Instructing and managing external lawyers on work that is in excess of in-house capacity or specialist in nature
• Assisting senior members of the legal team on various matters
• Supervising junior members of the team

Requirements:

• Strong experience working within commercial contract negotiation
• Qualified and able to hit the ground running using expertise in this sector
• Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment where priorities are ever-changing
• Excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with those at all levels of an organization
• Able to provide commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice
• Collaborative approach to work, always taking the team with you
