Job Overview
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Service. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in need of urgent medical attention.
Main Responsibilities
- Practice at an advanced level, working autonomously within the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional urgent care to patients.
- Take responsibility and be accountable for assessing, diagnosing, treating, or referring patients.
- Review patients face-to-face within our unit, utilizing your expertise to provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Undertake telephone triage work and provide telephone advice calls to patients, ensuring timely and efficient care.
- As an independent prescriber, prescribe medications in accordance with NMC/HCPC guidance and national policy.
- Request and interpret tests as necessary to inform patient care.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse/Paramedic.
- Post-registration Advanced Clinical Practice or completion of 2 or more clinical skills modules.
- Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP).
- Minor illness qualification and experience.
