About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Dispatcher to join our team at Biffa, a leading waste management company. As a Traffic Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our depot, managing vehicle allocation, and optimizing routes to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage route efficiency and optimize disposal outlets to minimize vehicle usage and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure driver availability and coverage meet legislative requirements and company procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including pay and bonus input, disposal information, and vehicle management.
  • Proactively manage vehicle availability, ensuring drivers complete checks in accordance with company policy.
  • Contribute to cost control and efficiency improvements by analyzing depot reports and implementing process enhancements.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed, including time sheets, tachograph records, payroll records, and holiday rotas.
  • Work with the Depot Manager to deliver mandatory training, induction, and toolbox talks in line with company policy.
