About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Business Development Manager to drive our business development initiatives across the London & East region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow our business and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Planning: Collaborate with our local Board to develop and implement a 3-year growth plan, aligning our products and services with customer needs.
  2. Customer First Lead Generation: Effectively engage with consultants, customers, and frameworks to unlock projects and drive growth, leveraging your strong network and expertise.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our local team to develop customer relationships and drive lead progression, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  4. CRM Management: Maintain and update Microsoft D365 to inform our marketing activities, providing valuable insights to drive business growth.
  5. Networking: Represent Willmott Dixon in the geographical area/sector focus, developing networks and enhancing our profile to drive business growth.
  6. Framework Promotion: Effectively position our range of frameworks, including specialist Direct Award frameworks, to drive growth and expand our customer base.

  1. Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the increasing complexities of construction, climate change, Net Zero Carbon, Building Safety Act, and our social value proposition, positioning these as opportunities for growth.
  2. Relational Leadership Skills: The ability to strengthen customer and stakeholder relationships, leveraging human connections to realize business development goals and objectives.
  3. Analytical: The capacity to source, analyze, and utilize data to develop geographic growth plans and inform decision-making processes.
  4. Proactive and Motivated: A highly motivated and proactive individual, able to develop an in-depth understanding of our service offering and build long-term customer/project leads and opportunities across private and public sector customers.
