About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Duct Fitter to join our team as a Mechanical Ductwork Installation Specialist. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing ducting and ductwork in industrial sites and scientific facilities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install ducting and ductwork in industrial sites and scientific laboratories
  • Perform mechanical fitting, installing duct systems, ensuring they are securely mounted and properly aligned
  • Insulate and seal duct joints to prevent leaks and ensure energy efficiency
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawing plans to determine the ducting layout
  • Work as a team leader with a fitter's mate to prepare ducting for handover to the commissioning team
Requirements
  • Experience in safe working procedures in industrial workplaces, including working at height or confined spaces
  • Ability to work away from home a couple of times a week, sometimes away all week, and other weeks get home every night
  • Hands-on mechanical fitter skills and experience installing ductwork and bracketry securing ducting in place, sealing and preparing the way for the commissioning team
  • Ability to travel to and work at industrial sites in the Midlands and other parts of the UK
What We Offer
  • Total earnings: £40k basic + approx £5k overtime and paid travel time
  • Company bonus worth roughly £2,000-£3,000, and great pension (8%)
  • 25 days bookable holiday plus bank holidays
