About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager in our residential childcare setting. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding for children, maximising their life chances.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in daily management, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and security, and implementing recommendations from Ofsted Inspections and Regulation 44 visits.
  • Contribute to the Care Planning process for children in our care by attending and preparing for conferences, reviews, planning meetings, and core group sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of children's care plans and progress.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the service needs or as directed by the Registered Manager or Group Operations Director.
Requirements
  • Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • A qualification such as CQSW/DipSW/NVQ 4 in Care or Management, Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential.
  • Must have at least one year of management experience and two years in a children's residential setting or similar residential services.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Must possess a full UK driving licence.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
