Job Description: Cost Planner/Senior Cost Planner

We're looking for Cost Planners and Senior Cost Planners with proven experience across the Infrastructure sector, particularly in Rail, Airports, Highways, Power, Water, or Utilities.

Cost Planners at Turner & Townsend make a difference by supporting clients as embedded resources within their organization or through ad-hoc work for multiple clients across the Infrastructure sector.

Our team delivers a wide range of cost planning outputs, including estimate production, estimating assurance, estimating support, and estimating data.

As a Cost Planner at Turner & Townsend, you'll be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans, controlling and managing the estimating process, and supporting the development of estimating good practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Controlling and managing the estimating process at project level.
  • Producing estimates without management or supervision.
  • Supporting the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
  • Assisting in achieving departmental objectives.
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in your technical area of expertise to provide best practice advice aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

We're looking for individuals with a high standard of qualification in Estimating or Quantity Surveying, relevant experience in estimating and/or QS services, and previous experience working with estimating software packages.

Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards it is also desirable.
