Toolroom Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Toolroom Machinist to join our team at Omega Resource Group in Tewkesbury.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual machining, encompassing various techniques such as milling, turning, grinding, and honing.

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machining equipment, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Complete complex setups for products routed through the machining process, meeting tight deadlines and high-quality standards.
• Conduct thorough self-inspections and quality audits to obtain self-certification inspection stamps, maintaining a culture of excellence.
• Follow detailed engineering drawings, inspection plans, and shop documentation, adhering to industry regulations.
• Adept lean manufacturing principles and perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency.

A competitive salary of approximately £38,000 - £55,000 per annum, including:

• ~33 Days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays)

• Experience within a tool room or single piece manufacture environment.
• Evidence of previous engineering or manufacturing roles.
• Able to work on an AM/Pm shift rota.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques, including 5S.
