Job Title: Bank Specialist Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bank Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Children's Trust School. As a Bank Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and care of our pupils with complex needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality education and care to our pupils. As a Bank Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Teacher in providing access to learning and general support to the class. You will also assist the Teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Teacher in providing access to learning and general support to the class
  • Assist the Teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with SLD, PMLD, and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs
  • Work under the direct supervision of an allocated Teacher/Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
  • Support the development of individualized education plans for pupils
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience of working with pupils with SLD, PMLD, and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs
  • A natural enthusiasm and passion for teaching and care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
