TipTopJob - Green Infrastructure Advisor Role

We are seeking an experienced Green Infrastructure Advisor to join our team working on a major highway project. This exciting opportunity will involve ensuring the project's environmental compliance and sustainability, minimizing its impact and promoting best practices.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing green infrastructure expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Green Infrastructure Planning: Developing and implementing green infrastructure plans to minimize the project's environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
  2. Environmental Compliance: Advising on environmental legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance with permits and licenses, and implementing best practice environmental management systems.
  3. Environmental Impact Assessments: Conducting or overseeing environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and contributing to the development of mitigation plans.
  4. Environmental Monitoring: Developing and implementing environmental monitoring programs to track potential impacts, including air quality, noise, water, and biodiversity.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including local communities, regulatory agencies, and environmental groups, to address concerns and build consensus.
  6. Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive environmental records, including reports, assessments, monitoring data, and mitigation plans.
Requirements:
  1. Proven Experience: The ideal candidate has experience as a Green Infrastructure Advisor or similar role in the construction or infrastructure sector, with a strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices.
  2. Environmental Expertise: A strong background in environmental science, ecology, or a related field is required, with a solid understanding of environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
  3. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for building positive relationships with stakeholders, addressing concerns, and negotiating solutions.
  4. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities are necessary for effectively handling environmental challenges that arise during construction.
  5. Knowledge of Construction Practices: A good understanding of construction processes and the potential environmental impacts of construction activities is also required.
